The Institute for Social Economic and Sustainable Research (ISESR) is an independent scientific and technological organization established under Vietnamese law. ISESR has two main focuses: comprehensive research on economic and social development, with an emphasis on sustainable development, and consultancy and provision of sustainable economic and social development solutions for the nation, regions, and localities.

Scientific research at ISESR is carried out independently by in-house scientists, in collaboration with a network of experts both domestically and internationally. The aim is to provide a theoretical and empirical foundation related to sustainable economic and social development. The quality of the work is demonstrated through publications in reputable journals worldwide and domestically, as well as the successful completion of scientific projects and research proposals. 

With a foundation built on scientific theory and practical experience, combined with the expertise of the current staff working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the governing body for Economic and Social Development Strategy, as well as the National Sustainable Development Strategy and the network of experts, scientists, policy planners, and organizations both domestically and internationally, ISESR offers a system of sustainable economic and social development solutions for public partners at all levels, from districts to provinces and the nation as a whole.
